Nitrous Crunk-Dub Step Mashup Mix

Ayo, big up to Nitrous and Nick Z at InDaJungle Records for blessing us with a free mix consisting of UK’s underground music genre called Dubstep and America’s dirty south music genre called Crunk. I received the link to the free download and was wondered Crunk Step sounds interesting, and also impressed by how fast the file uploaded, being that I live in Bangkok Thailand – the land of slowest Internet connection in the world.

After listening to the mix the sound quality was superb and the tracks, skill level, and just pure genius concept of mashing up Crunk and Dubstep. All I could do is think wow this is just a great idea. From when i pressed play I was overwhelmed by hard hitting snares, heavy bass drops, classic dirty Crunk tracks that would even make lil john say yeah… So once again excellent job on the mix every track is a club banger. Dubstep Music Overview

Dubstep is electronic music ranging about 140 beats per minute, This motivating sound started in London and was spawned in the early 2000 from Drum and Bass, Jungle, and Garage. The term dub is derived from Dub a music genre, evolved from reggae, that involves revisions of existing songs.The dub sound consists predominantly of instrumental re-mixes of existing recordings and is achieved by significantly manipulating and reshaping the recordings, usually by removing the vocals from an existing music piece, emphasizing the drums and bass frequencies and extra echo’s and reverb effects, and and also dubbing occasional snippets of lyrics or instruments from the original version.

Crunk Music Overview

Crunk music is Hip-Hop and electronic music that was originated around 1990 in Memphis,TN and Atlanta,GA. The term Crunk is a smashup term of being drunk and crazy. The first known use of the word "Crunk" was in 1972 by Dr. Seuss in his book Marvin K. Mooney Will You Please Go Now! Crunk music focuses more on the party side and driving cars with spinning rims. the tempo is a little bit slower than hip-hop about the Beats per minute of reggaeton. Nahh mean!!!
